Mother.

I feel like a mom.
Well, I usually feel like some what of a mom since I am a nanny and I have been dubbed the soccer mom since I started driving last June.
But im usually not a parent figure to my dad.. (okay, lets be honest. I always am.)
Last night, I had to wake him up about three times to try and get him to give Jake his medicine.
(Jake recently got his tonsils out and has to take medicine every 4 hours.)
I couldn't sleep last night and it probably had something to do with the fact that I knew my dad wouldn't wake up at 2 am and then again at 6.
At 2:05 I heard the alarm go off for the second time.
I ran downstairs to see my dad fast asleep on the couch.
I woke him up saying, "Dad! Give Jake his medicine!" He replied that the alarm had not gone off yet! Wow dad. Really? Your deaf aren't you?
Poor guy.. loosing his hearing already.
Unfortunately this is not an uncommon occurrence. I watch over my dad regularly.
Telling him what he should or shouldn't do.
Yeah you could say I am like his mom.
Hopefully he can take care of himself in China for three weeks. I'll probably be calling him daily..
To make sure that:
1. he hasn't wandered off and gotten killed. (like last time)
2. to make sure he buys me some cute clothes.
3. to tell him I love him.
and 4. to make sure he takes his medicine (if needed).

P.s. Good thing I was awake or else Jake would be in a world of hurt right now.
Yup, your welcome Father.
